Ladies tea buys toys for Amangwe’s children

Amangwe Village currently cares for 40 children between the ages of three and six and provides two meals per day.

THE Amangwe Village ladies tea was a roaring success, with much-needed funds raised to purchase new toys for the Amangwe Crèche toy library.

Hosted by the Mfolozi Protea Hotel, the ladies were treated to Dr Faryal Luhar’s highly informative talk on the general well-being of women using natural approaches.

The ladies were also given ten tips to ultimate health and each received a goodie bag sponsored by RBIDZ, ABI, FNB Richards Bay, Bees Ink and MJ Trust.

The tea also included numerous lucky draws for lucky winners, and a fashion show in which the latest winter fashions were modelled by models of Trelique Modelling Agency.

The event also saw the children of Amangwe Crèche performing songs and dances, kicking off with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and ending with a vibrant Zulu dance.

Amangwe Village currently cares for 40 children between the ages of three and six and provides two meals per day.

The children receive loving care and support as they learn through play and interacting with friends.

The organisation has an additional 60 crèches currently registered with its toy library.

A portion of the funds from last weekend’s ladies tea will be used to buy more toys for the library so there are more to go around.
