One killed in cattle-related road accident
Motorist dies trying to avoid cattle on the R22 near Mbazwana.
IN two separate accidents in uMkhanyakude District last night, one motorist was killed and several were seriously injured as the result of cattle on the roads.
Just after 8.30pm a car hit a cow on the N2 near Mkhuze. Two people were injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
This morning, at about 1am, a bakkie reportedly overturned while trying to avoid cattle on the R22 near Mbazwana. One person was declared dead on scene and five others were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
