The sounds of laughter, excited chatter and joy bounced off the walls at the Empangeni Baptist Church’s annual Ice Adventure holiday club.
The theme ‘you are brave enough’ filtered through the air as kids of all ages played games, took part in craft exercises and enjoyed physical activities last week.
With his trusty team of leaders and volunteers, organiser Bennie Mthembu was delighted with the great turnout.
Cllr Erwin Palmer paid a surprise visit to the club on Tuesday and made a generous donation of refreshments, while Power Spar Empangeni donated food.
‘As this is Mandela month, it is the perfect time to give our heart and soul to the children and encourage these activities,’ said Cllr Palmer.
