Detectives crack three murder cases

One victim was stabbed multiple times and dumped in the Enseleni River

THE Empangeni Detectives Branch has reason to celebrate after an operation resulted in the arrest of seven suspects and solving three murder cases in one night.

The operation was conducted in eNseleni recently.

Seven men linked to three different murder cases dating back to 2013 were arrested, with possible links to another murder case earlier this year in which a man was shot 12 times.

Among the suspects arrested is a 21-year-old man who has been on the run since 2013 after allegedly committing a murder in Mevamhlophe.

While on the run, he is believed to have committed another murder in eNseleni, putting detectives on his trail once again.

All six other suspects between the ages of 19 and 25 are being held on charges relating to a murder of a man who was robbed, stabbed to death and his body dumped in the Nseleni River in February last year.
