UPDATE: ANC reacts to Thulani Mashaba’s death
‘His untimely passing has robbed the ANC the entire country of a dedicated leader'
PROVINCIAL Secretary of the ANC Sihle Zikalala has issued a statement following the death of Musa Dladla Regional Chairperson and uThungulu Deputy Mayor, Thulani Mashaba.
Mashaba died during a car crash last night on the N2 in Ballito, while travelling back to Richards Bay from King Shaka Airport in Durban.
‘His untimely passing has robbed the ANC and the entire country of a dedicated leader who had a clear vision of taking the movement and the citizens of this country forward,’ said Zikalala.
‘Our hearts are bleeding heavily and engulfed by sorrow as we remember the good work Comrade Mashaba has done as a leader in the ANC.’
Zikalala praised Mashaba’s dedication and willingness to positively respond to any tasks the ANC had requested of him.
‘His main objective has always been serving the people with distinction and dignity,’ the statement continued.
‘The ANC sends it condolences to the family friends, all our prayers and thoughts are with them at this dark hour.’
