EMERGENCY response personnel have declared one person dead and another injured after an early morning crash on the N2 near Mtunzini.
Two trucks, a light duty vehicle and a heavy goods vehicle collided near the Mtunzini toll plaza.
IPSS Rescue paramedics together with KZN EMS were on scene.
‘The paramedics worked together to treat the surviving patient, who was critically injured. The patient was then transported by IPSS,’ said Robert McKenzie, spokesperson for KZN EMS.
