GALLERY: 10 injured in early morning smash
Paramedics respond to two separate crashes, metres apart on the N2.
MORE than 10 kilometres of traffic came to a stand-still following a head-on collision just past the Empangeni N2 off-ramp this morning.
A total of 10 people were left injured after a Hyundai bakkie and a Toyota Yaris collided on the wet road just after 7am.
Multiple ambulances transported the victims to Ngwelezana Hospital for further treatment.
The traffic build-up resulted in the N2 north of the eSikhawini off-ramp being closed until the scene was cleared.
This accident happened only metres from a second crash where a Durban doctor escaped unscathed when her car rolled.
