A SPAZA shop owner was killed last night at eSikhaleni H2 section, as two gun-carrying men approached him, pretending to be customers.
According to eSikhaleni Community Police Forum chairperson, Msizi Mthembu the incident happened during load shedding.
‘It is reported while it was dark two men approached the victim, who ran a spaza shop at his garage, and an argument ensued.
‘Immediately the power came back and the lights went on, the suspects panicked and shot the victim,’ Mthembu said.
Another man was killed in the early hours of Saturday morning at eMashayineni night club, eSikhaleni Mall.
Apparently a quarrel broke out inside the club and when they went outside the suspect shot the victim, who was confirmed dead at the scene by police.
‘Two murder cases have been opened by and the police are investigating,’ said eSikhaleni SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant Mkhumane.
Mkhumane said no arrests have been made as yet.
