High school pupils on information highway

Pupils at Mavuso High receive brand new computers.

MAVUSO High pupils could not contain their joy when gifts of brand new laptops were unveiled on Friday.

In partnership with MTN, USAASA and Sentech, the Department of Communications and Postal Services decided to empower the kwaNibela Tribal Authority community near Hluhluwe by installing an internet service at Mavuso High, which will serve as an information nerve centre for the whole community.

Speaking on behalf of the local municipality, Mayor CC Gumede passed his gratitude to the government for empowering the kwaNibela community with this source of information, ‘which will serve as a wealth of knowledge for our children and members of the community at large.’

MTN also pledged to assist those pupils who travel long distances to school on foot with bicycles.
