Roaming dogs pose danger

Dog pack scares pensioner in Richards Bay.

A VELDENVLEI pensioner fears for her safety and that of other residents who are regularly confronted by a pack of aggressive dogs in Begonia Brim.

‘There are usually three of them, but they are joined at times by a fourth black dog and occasionally by two others that dash out from their gates,’ she said.

‘I have been prevented from leaving my property as they bark viciously and are obviously in an attacking frame of mind.

‘I have seen them go for people in the street and it is a matter of time before there is a serious incident.’

The dogs appear to be in good condition and do not seem to be strays.

‘We don’t know who owns them or whether they have had their rabies immunisation, which adds to our concerns.

‘I just hope something can be done about them before there is a tragic episode.’
