Breaking News: Man survives five-shot hit in Alton

Police are investigating a shooting at Induna Logistics in Ohm Zone this morning.

IN an apparent hit, a man survived five gunshots fired into his vehicle at close range at a business premises in Alton at around 8am this morning.

The incident took place at Induna Logistics in Ohm Zone.
According to witnesses – and reportedly backed by CCTV footage – a lone gunman walked towards the Ford Ranger bakkie as the driver stopped at the boom gate.

He fired a volley of shots directly into the driver’s side window before fleeing and jumping into a white VW Polo getaway car.
The wounded victim managed to enter the premises but lost control and smashed into a concrete wall.

He was rushed to hospital and police were soon on scene, searching for clues and investigating motives for the attack.
The condition of the victim, whose name is known to this newspaper, has not been updated.
