ANC anniversary bash at Nkandla

ANC birthday bash goes to Nkandla.

ALL roads lead to Nkandla on Sunday where the ANC Musa Dladla Region will be celebrating the party’s 103rd anniversary.

Local Chairperson and uThungulu Deputy Mayor Thulani Mashaba said Nkandla was selected to host the rally since many struggle stalwarts resided there.

‘We want to thank the people who fought for freedom from oppression with this rally.

‘We will also be undertaking door-to-door campaigns, during which we will interact with the locals and find ways to address their challenges,’ Mashaba said.

‘ANC Treasurer General Dr Zweli Mkhize will be the keynote speaker, while Minister of Water Affairs Nomvula Monkonyane, Minister of Police Nathi Nhleko, the KZN provincial leadership and the whole of Musa Dladla leadership will be among the dignitaries present to celebrate with the people of Nkandla.’

Buses will depart from all 99 regional wards ferrying people to Nkandla, and the organisers invite all the people of uThungulu to be part of the festivities.

For those who cannot make it to the rally, a public lecture will be held at the Empangeni Hall today (Thursday) at 5pm.

Health Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi will conduct the lecture dealing with the stipulations of the Freedom Charter.
