A JOINT police operation between the different SAPS units has led to the arrest of two of the town’s ten ‘most wanted criminals’.
Following up on information through in-depth investigation, Xolani Mkhize and Ernest Sithole were successfully captured by detectives in the Richards Bay CBD last week.
‘These individuals are linked to a number of house break-ins within the area,’ said SAPS Communication Officer, Captain Debbie Ferreira.
Both suspects appeared in the Richards Bay Magistrate’s Court and were denied bail.

Richards Bay Detective Services will continue their search for the other eight suspects.
Names and offences are:
• Winner Ashley Mthembu – rape, house robbery, escaping
• Sakhile Zikhali – business robbery
• Siyabonga Bright Gumede – escaping, burglary business
• Vusi Vivian Mnyandu – burglary residential (3), theft out of motor vehicles (11)
• Khayelihle Mthiyane aka Luthuli – escaping, robbery common
• Nkosinathi aka Sqa Sabelo Ndlovu aka Mzizi – theft of motor vehicle (3)
• Zakheleni aka Maceba Buthelezi – burglary residential (3)
• Mandla Sthembiso Dlamini – theft of motor vehicle, burglary business
