IMAGES depicting ‘tenderness’ was the theme of the month and Zululand photographers did not disappoint with an array of interesting and riveting images entered during the monthly Beachcombers Photography Club member competition.
Nobby Clark took the top spot with his winning shot ‘Cremora’, while the open category, which attracted a string of exceptional entries, was won by Riaan van Wyk with ‘Trees’.
Hein Beukes was named the ‘Best Junior’ for claiming the most points overall at the meeting.
Photographers who received certificates of merit included Kobus Maree for his entry ‘I almost got away’, Hein Beukes for ‘The Sponge’, Kobus Maree’ for ‘Mother’s Love’ and Sias van Schalkwyk for ‘His Mighty Wings’.
Members of Birdlife Zululand also attended the meeting for an informative talk on ‘Bird Photography’.
The next photo challenge will kick off in January at the NSRI base (next to Zululand Yacht Club). Club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month.
