Alleged hitman stabs, shoots eShowe man

The man had several stab wounds all over his body and a gunshot wound to the stomach.

TWO men have been arrested after a seriously injured man, Skhumbuzo Dumisa was found lying next to the road passing Rutledge Park Dam.

Police officers were on a routine patrol in the early hours on Saturday morning, when they spotted Dumisa.

He had several stab wounds all over his body and a gunshot wound to the stomach.

He was left for dead by his attacker.

Police arrested a 29-year-old man for attempted murder.

The suspect told the police that he had been hired to kill Dumisa.

The person who hired him owed Dumisa a large amount of money and had given the suspect a shotgun to kill Dumisa.

The suspect told the police that he had returned the shotgun to the owner after the attack.

Police have since arrested a well-known eShowe businessman (54).

Dumisa is in a serious condition in the eShowe District Hospital. Police have opened two cases relating to attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Both men were due to appear in the eShowe Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
