THE body of a 38-year-old man was found floating in the crocodile infested Nseleni River yesterday.
According to Empangeni SAPS spokesperson, Captain Mdlalose, the man had been reported missing in Richards Bay last week.
He said the deceased’s name could not be released until his family have been notified.
‘We have ruled out suicide and have opened a murder case after marks were discovered around the victims neck, throat and face,’ said Mdlalose.
This is not the first incident of this nature, as over the years the Nseleni River has become a regular dumping ground of victims of criminal activity.
