Ride with pride for Bay strays

Riders will gather on 2 August at Essenwood Spar in Arboretum.

WITH Richards Bay’s animal welfare currently under tremendous financial pressure, Zululand’s compassionate bikers are once again preparing to set out full throttle on a mission to save the town’s many abused and homeless animals.

Last year, 150 bikers came together for the charity run and collected heaps of dog and cat food that kept SPCA’s animals happily fed for an entire month.

This year’s event is anticipated to bring the same relief to the non-profit organisation.

Riders will gather at the starting point at Essenwood Spar in Arboretum between 7am and 8am on 2 August with an entrance fee of R50 before heading off to four different destinations where they will throw a dice as part of the fun and games.

The bikes will make their final stops at Stallions Pub in Meerensee where a prize giving, more games and live entertainment sponsored by RBay Coast Entertainment will end the day on a high note.

Participants and the public have also been asked to kindly donate pet food at the start and end points to help the charity.
