THE University of Zululand takes leave of 4 200 qualified students during this week’s graduation ceremonies which ends tomorrow (Friday).
Consisting of nine sessions, the graduations are been held at the KwaDlangezwa campus’ King Bhekuzulu Hall, where graduates in the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Administration, Law, Education, Science and Agriculture have made their academic marks.
The first graduate in her family, Nobuhle Maphumulo, said she was extremely proud of her achievement.
‘I am beyond happy! To those still studying, it takes focus and determination to succeed,’ she said.
In seventh heaven, Nomfundo Nxumalo of Nongoma graduated with Honours in Economics.
‘It has been a challenging journey, but perseverance, diligence and hard work brought me here,’ said Nxumalo.
Overwhelmed with excitement on the day, twins Sandile and Siyabonga Sibiya proudly walked away with their postgraduate certificates in Education on Tuesday.
Hoping to develop their rural home town of Nkonjeni, Sandile is currently working at Vuleka school for the deaf in Nkandla.
