Unizulu celebrates academic excellence

A total of 4 200 students graduate at Unizulu.

FOUR thousand University of Zululand (UNIZULU) students will graduate this week.

The five-day graduation ceremony, consisting of nine sessions, will be held at KwaDlangezwa Campus in the King Bhekuzulu Hall, where the success and achievement of UNIZULU students in the Faculties of Arts, Commerce, Administration, Law, Education, Science and Agriculture will be celebrated.

‘A graduation ceremony is an important milestone and celebration in the life of a student. In celebrating their achievements, students will receive qualifications ranging from a certificate to a doctoral degree,’ said Communications Marketing Division Public Relations Manager, Bhekani Dlamini.

‘Esteemed speakers from different fields in academia, industry and government will add to the ceremony with keynote motivational addresses at each session.

‘Some of the speakers include Advocate Tshililo Masutha, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Desmond Golding, Head of Department for KZN Department of Economic Development and Tourism and Lindiwe Rakharebe,’ he said.

The university has produced graduates since 1963.
