KWAMSANE Crime Prevention acting Captain Cebo Qwabe arrested two men suspected of killing a 50-year-old woman of Nkombose Reserve, Mtubatuba.
Thandazile Ngobese had been asleep next to her mother and children when tragedy struck last Thursday.
Ngobese and her children were woken by a bang on their front door and found three men armed with a gun and knives in their home.
The men demanded money and cellphones from the victims.
Unfortunately, the victims had no money in their possession and the men only got two cellphones.
‘One of the men, armed with a gun, then shot Ngobese in the head and they all ran away,’ said KwaMsane SAPS Spokesperson Captain Jabulani Mdletshe.
Later that evening, Captain Qwabe received information from a resident regarding the whereabouts of the men who allegedly murdered Ngobese.
‘Captain Qwabe was told the suspects were driving from Nkombose to Bhobosa Reserve. Swiftly reacting to the information, he set up a trap and managed to arrest two of the suspects, but the third one is still at large.
‘We will find him and he will be arrested. We’re not stopping here,’ said Mdlesthe.
I send my condolense to Ngobese’s family. May god be wit you and those criminals get life sentence in jail and never getout.
