Pitout is happy to teach the nation

Bay minister, Caroline Pitout is regional manager for training programme, 'Teach Every Nation'

HEADING the training initiative, Teach Every Nation in Richards Bay, Pastor Caroline Pitout, a dean at the SR Paul Ministries Campus, has been appointed Regional Manager for the area.

Nominated during a conference presented by renowned international Christian teacher, author and founder of the TEN project, Dr Bruce Wilkinson in Limpopo recently, Pitout will now oversee 19 local campuses and offer support to up-and-coming institutions.

Pitout has been managing the Richards Bay campus since January and satellite courses have already begun.

She believes local communities can benefit tremendously from the affordable and in-depth studies programme which is accredited by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

‘I am so excited to champion this programme, increase campus sites and encourage local churches to introduce it to their leaders as well as their congregations.

‘My core focus is on rural areas and, because it is so affordable, more people can have access to this training.

‘Our courses are offered via a satellite broadcast simulcast system at our campus sites and for those that cannot attend, DVD courses will be offered later.

‘The response has been phenomenal and we are hosting our next three-day course from 13 to 15 March.’

Missionary work

Passionate about Christian missionary work, Pitout went into ministry at the age of 21 and was ordained as a minister last year.

‘My heartbeat is for missions and winning lost souls.

‘Apart from being involved in the ministry and participating in various sporting codes, I enjoy working at ‘Moments of Grace’ too, as it affords me the opportunity to minister to people.

‘I use my workplace to extend my ministry and am also involved in the church and missions department.’
