Retirement village for Zini

Building is due to start on The Village a retirement development in Mtunzini

GROUND has been broken on a much needed retirement village in Mtunzini.

Named ‘The Village’ and located in the Zini River Estate, the surroundings are breathtaking.

Building of the first phase of the development is due to start in late March/early April and will see the construction of 12 units as well as a community centre.

The Village consists of 110 units which will be sold as sectional title and includes 24-hour nursing care as well as six respite rooms. The families of residents, who may need assistance or personal care for a short period of time, can stay in these respite rooms.

Residents will also have access to the river, picnic sites, nature trails, a swimming pool, cycle tracks, birdwatching and a golf course which is located on the southerly boundary.

Bus transport to Richards Bay and even Ballito will be provided by the Body Corporate.

Due to good economies of scale, the levies for The Village are said to be reasonably priced.

Security is a major feature which has been thoroughly planned. There are 10 security guards patrolling the estate, 24-hours a day, with two more being added once residents start moving into The Village.

This is the final phase of the estate which was begun eight years ago.
