A blind man from eSikhaleni accused of rape, was released at the eSikhawini Regional Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
This was the result after the six-year-old victim refused to speak in court.
The frustrated young mother from eMzingwenya Reserve who wanted justice, still can’t believe the court’s ruling against her former boyfriend.
Dumisani Ntombela (48) was arrested and charged with rape in August 2012, after his victim reported the incident to her mother, who then informed the police.
According to the police statement, he was left alone with the child during the time of an incident.
During the trial, Ntombela maintained his innocence, while the young victim insisted the incident happened.
Ntombela’s case was thrown out of court on Monday because the victim refused to speak to the lawyers or magistrates.
