Bay music festival to support 3 000 local pupils with uniforms and school shoes

THIS year’s uThungulu Last Dance Music Festival aims to support 3 000 pupils with uniforms and school shoes.

The fourth annual event hosted by uThungulu District Municipality in partnership with Mbawula Investments takes place at uMhlathuze Regional Sports Complex in Veldenvlei on 31 December from midday until late.

Showcasing a variety of musical entertainment from gospel, maskandi and kwaito artists to popular deejays and a host of television and radio personality, guests can usher in the New Year at the social festive celebration which incorporates an awareness campaign promoting road safety and a zero tolerance against drinking and driving.

Musicians on stage include Zahara, Ringo and Oskido.

Meanwhile, on New Year’s Day the entertainment session continues from 9am to 5pm at Alkantstrand in Meerensee during a Family Day event where beach goers will be entertained by a line-up of live Afro Jazz, gospel, afro pop, maskandi and kwaito artisits, comedians and motivational speakers.
