Budget wise Christmas gifts

Easy Christmas gift ideas on a budget

IT’S hard to believe how quickly 2013 has sped by.

It’s even harder to believe that in only 28 days we will be cutting up the roast for Christmas lunch and exchanging gifts.

Yes, it’s back to shopping in malls like sardines in a can, bumping fellow shoppers on the heel and getting bumped in return as everybody fights to grab the last turkey in the freezer.

But there is one task that becomes more tedious and difficult each year, as the price of gifts leave your wallet looking like an empty Christmas tree.

What do I get him, what do I get her, and what about the kids? Ahhh, the joys of playing Santa.

We decided to render our ‘elfish’ services by giving you some ideas for Christmas gifts on a budget.

Step 1 – the thought behind the gift. Remember it’s the thought put into getting a gift that gives you the biggest aahhs and wows.

Step 2 – decide how much you’re willing to cough up. How about playing a game – everyone in the family draws a name and that’s who you buy a gift for this Christmas, no more than a 100 bucks.

Step three – this is the fun part, get creative!
