GOING beyond the call of duty, the Richards Bay police station’s women’s network group collected funds and purchased 150 packs of sanitary towels for distribution to girls at two Richards Bay schools – Kati Primary in Mandlazini and Mzingazi Primary.
The project formed part of the group’s Women’s Month efforts to reach out to the community and assist girls with these essential items.
Members of the network, together with police officers, visited Kati Primary on Thursday afternoon, where teachers heading up the Learner Support Portfolio (LSP) which offers assistance to orphaned and vulnerable pupils, welcomed the contributions.
