Richards Bay hosts global leadership conference

The summit targets church, ministry and community leaders

THE Global Leadership Summit (GLS), a two-day training event for church, ministry and community leaders to hone their skills, will be held in Richards Bay on 14 and 15 October.

Hosted at the Outlook Church in Birdswood, the international leadership event has been facilitated by the Richards Bay Ministers Fraternal.

It is telecast live from Willow’s campus near Chicago to more than 550 premier host sites around the world.

The summit, which creates a space for leaders to intentionally grow their leadership skills, was established in 1995 by Bill Hybels, senior pastor of the Willow Creek Community Church.

While it is overseen by a faith-based organisation, it is unique as it draws on expertise of leaders from a variety of disciplines – government, the arts, business and academia.

In 2015, the GLS equipped more than 305 000 leaders in 875 cities and 125 countries, making it one of the largest leadership conferences.
