Christian school blessed with success

Richards Bay Christian School aces IEB exams

IT was a big blessing for the Richards Bay Christian School when the Independent Examinations Board results were officially announced on Wednesday, as once again they could claim a 100% matric pass rate.

‘We have been entering matriculants to write the IEB exams since 2005 and to date, 314 matrics have written and 313 have passed, achieving 185 distinctions,’ said Principal Bev Chambler.

‘We congratulate and express gratitude to our God for the achievements of the 31 students in our class of 2015.

‘Not only do we have a 100% pass rate, but every single student qualified for tertiary studies – no NSC or Higher Certificate passes!

‘In total there were 84% degree passes and 80% achieved our suggested pass mark of 50 or more in every subject, with 38 distinctions (level 7) and 42 level 6 (70+) passes.’

Highest achiever was Evan Weyermüller with six distinctions – mathematics 92, physical sciences 83, accounting 85, Afrikaans 83, information technology 82 and life orientation 81.

‘Our success can be attributed to our passionate staff, a specific vision, defined culture and values that contribute to our 28 years of faithfully continuing to educate the current generation,’ said Chambler.
