Hein Beukes is the Photographer of the Year
The Beachcombers Photography Club held its 2015 prize-giving.
BEACHCOMBERS Club members entered 788 images for judging this year which resulted is stiff competition between the members.
Four photographers entered the maximum number of 44 images, with Nobby Clarke taking the top spot based on points and received the ‘Most Entries for the Year’ award, while Tracey Sadie also produced some great images and was named ‘Novice Photographer of the Year’.
Clarke was awarded the ‘Photograph of the Year’ prize for his photo titled ‘Hidden’.
With his consistent high quality images Brad Gray was crowned ‘The Most Improved Photographer of the Year’.
To end the grand night of prize-giving, Hein Beukes was crowned ‘Photographer of the Year’.
‘Hein has an amazing talent and has spent many hours improving his skills. His photography is evolving into something truly amazing. I cannot wait to see what he does next year,’ said Beachcombers Photographic Club Chairman Gavin Fordham.
