VIDEO: Movie Review – Spectre

From the outset I must state that I am not a James Bond fan, so for me to enjoy 007 in action, the plot and action has to be simply superb… and in this case Director Sam Mendes is to be commended.

Not only has Sam Mendes included a myriad of elements from previous Bond movies, but he has also ensured a captivated audience as he weaves this tangled web of suspense to its conclusion.

I know there’s plenty of debate as to who has been/is the best actor in this coveted role – from the immaculately dressed, ‘smooth operator’ Sean Connery to ‘the Saint’ Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan who’s currently on screen in ‘How to Make Love Like an Englishman’… and that’s to name but three. However, it’s definitely Daniel Craig who tops my list. This craggy English actor with his piercingly blue, expressive eyes is not afraid of showing a scratch or two, torn lip or slightly mussed hair after a tussle with a villain.

And, although the exploits are typically over the top, one cannot help but be amazed at the means he utilizes to escape from some extremely tight situations.

I don’t want to give too much away as this is a trip to the cinema you must definitely make for yourselves. This is entertainment in action encompassing plenty of tension lightened by the odd comedic moment.

Let’s just say that M’s legacy is not yet over and our fabulous rogue agent is determined to carry out one more mission before his possible demise.
