Felixton score three out of four against Grantleigh

Felixton claim bragging rights over Grantleigh.

FELIXTON College made it three out of four wins when beating Grantleigh Schools in cricket fixtures played a Felixton College recently, proving that cricket is thriving at the the small private school.

The U18 (first team) Felixton girls whitewashed their opposition by 10 wickets, with the U11 Felixton boys claiming a close 10 run victory.

Grantleigh pulled one back when the U15 boys claimed a comprehensive 9 wicket victory.

The boys first XI game came down to the wire, with the hosts claiming a narrow 5 run victory.

Felixton padded up first and headed out to the middle, posting 146 runs in their allotted 40 overs.

Nzuzo Nzuza top scored for the home team with a knock worth 42, with Tristan Fernandes contributing 23.

Timothy Russell was the pick of the Grantleigh bowling attack ending with figures of 3/28 in 8.

Grantleigh put up a great chase, lead by Michael Bothma, who notched up 48 not out, but were unlucky to fall short of the line on 141/8.
