Crime busters honoured at awards function

ACKNOWLEDGING the noteworthy achievements born from collaboration with the SAPS, Tracker recently hosted its annual SAPS awards in Durban.

Warrant Officer Adriaan de Villiers from Empangeni K9 unit took home the event’s Individual Outstander award for his constant participation with vehicle recoveries in Zululand.

W/O De Villiers attended most of Tracker’s activities in the Zululand area, and also went the extra mile by participating in a high-speed, cross border chase to recover a hijacked vehicle into Mozambique.

Fernando Maia of Alpha Security, a private security company in partnership with Tracker and SAPS, and who is also a police reservist, received a special award for his efforts in the fight against vehicle related crime.
