Riding in the big league

Zululand riders were recently selected for the KZN Schools team that will compete at the SANESA nationals

FIVE riders from Dayspring Equestrian Farm have been selected for the KZN schools team to compete at the SANESA nationals in Johannesburg.

The competition starts on Saturday.

Bryan de Kock of Grantleigh College will compete in Level 1 Eventing, while Kelly Ervine of Grantleigh Preparatory will compete in the Level 4 Show Jumping, Level 3 Dressage, Level 3 Equitation, Level 3 Working Hunter and Level 3 Eventing categories.

Serryn Stickley of Grantleigh College will try her hand in the Level 2 Equitation, Level 1 Show Jumping, Level 1 Working Hunter and Level 1 Eventing categories.

Sumaiya Varachia of Grantleigh College will ride in the Level 2 Dressage, Level 2 Equitation, Level 1 Show Jumping, Level 1 Performance Riding, Level 1 Working Riding, level 1 Working Hunter and Level 1 Eventing competitions.

Muhammad Varachia of Mtubatuba Primary School will test his abilities in the Level 3 Dressage, Level 2 Equitation, Level 2 Show Jumping, Level 1 Working Hunter and Level 3 Eventing categories..

Other Zululand riders who have been selected for participation are Jamie Lee McGregor (Grantleigh College), Tina Molokwane (Grantleigh College), Marné Prins and Liesl Steenkamp (Heuwelland).
