Can you help baby Le’monte?

An urgent call is being made for finances to enable a 10-month-old cancer victim to undergo an urgent operation.

LITTLE Le’monte Kade Hughes from Richards Bay has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer of the adrenal gland.

He is receiving six cycles of chemotherapy every three weeks and is currently being treated for an infection.

Le’monte is scheduled for an operation at Parklands Hospital on Tuesday, 15 September to remove the tumor on his right kidney.

In addition to a co-payment of R5 350 which has to be deposited before he is admitted to hospital, his mother Anashri Manthri is also burdened with other medical bills.

‘People can assist in a number of ways, but especially by donating cash,’ says Sandy Burgess, who initiated the fundraising project.

Other necessities are:

•Pamper babies nappies size 3

•Nan Gold formula No. 2

•Purity baby food 6-12 months

•Money for toll fees, petrol to Durban each week of chemo

•Transport to Durban for two people.

If you are able to contribute, please contact Sandy 073 2146555.
