UPDATE: Two arrested for Nyoni farm murder

A 42-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman are being questioned by police.

The KwaDukuza Cluster Task Team has made a breakthrough in the murder, attempted murder and armed robbery on a farm in Nyoni on Wednesday.

The police worked around the clock for the past two days and took a 42-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman in for questioning this morning (Friday).

Detectives are on the trail of the outstanding suspects.

 

Peter Johnson(56) was killed whilst his brother Ian (54) was injured after an armed robbery on their farm.

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Mmamonnye Ngobeni praised the team for their valiant efforts.
‘This is the crucial breakthrough that we have been waiting for and it is just a matter of time before the outstanding suspects can be apprehended.

‘Kudos to our dedicated police officers that persevered while the trail was still hot and never gave up’, she said.
