Toddler killed by freight train
A Mtubatuba family is reeling after the death of their 18-month-old child.
TRAGEDY struck a Mtubatuba family on Saturday when an 18-month-old toddler was killed on the train tracks at Qakwini on the outskirts of town.
According to KwaMsane police Communications Officer Captain Mdletshe, the child’s father believes the child was following other children to the shop at about 11.30am when the tragedy occurred.
A freight train travelling through the area struck the toddler who died at the scene.
