Four arrested in Boller murder

The couple was murdered and their home set alight in September this year.

POLICE have confirmed the arrest of four suspects in connection with the murder of elderly Meerensee couple Ernst and Lilo Boller on 6 September.

Intensive investigations since the incident resulted in the recovery of the couple’s Hyundai Tuscon, stolen during the murder and robbery, and the arrest of the alleged getaway driver 10 days ago.

In the early hours of this (Tuesday) morning three more suspects were arrested in the Mbazwane area by a special SAPS task team.

The suspects aged 26 and 30 years will appear in court in Richards Bay on Thursday.

They face counts of murder, house robbery, arson and being in possession of suspected stolen property.

Family members and friends of the couple have praised the police for their persistence in attaining the breakthrough.

The crime sent a wave of shock and panic through the town and the arrests are certain to pacify the public and restore confidence in the SAPS detective services.
