Hume heading for double title

Local enduro rider claims a victory at the 4th round of the Junior WFO Enduro Series.

LOCAL enduro rider Calvin Hume utilised his riding skill and experience to claim a victory at the 4th round of the Junior WFO Enduro Series which took place 10km outside Underberg in the foothills of the Drakensberg mountains.

The Fast Power Sports rider was one of four who completed four laps during the allocated time frame.

They were challenged by the 15km track, which consisted of steep decants with lots of drop-offs and single track mountains passes with loose rocks.

Calvin averaged 30 minutes per lap, which saw him take a hard worked overall win on the day.

After another successful day at the office for the talented youngster, he currently leads the series overall with loads of points in the bag.

He will head into the last WFO series race in Matatiele at the end of October in pole position, looking for a series title.

Calvin will also be competing on 5 October at the New Hanover in the X-country series, which he also currently leads.

With only two races of the series left, Hume aims to take a double title for 2014.
