MTUNZINI residents supported the Zini Zebra Festival on Saturday, hosted by the Wildlife Heritage Organisation of Zululand (WHO’Z) and held in the grounds of the Tradewinds Hotel.
The festival celebrated the great fortune of living in a conservancy with such great biodiversity and the chance to support WHO’Z in its effort to gain a permit for the Zini zebra to remain in the conservancy. WHO’Z requires the majority of residents to sign their support for their zebra and impala initiative.
There was something for everyone at the festival from shopping at unique stalls selling everything from delicious food to jewelry and clothing. The children were entertained with a jumping castle and were fascinated by the snake and reptile show, as were the adults.
The highlight of the day was a fashion show, organised by Pizazz Modeling Agency, showcasing the beautiful gowns and dresses which are available to hire for those special occasions.
Music played by the aptly named Black and White Productions lent a party-like atmosphere to the day.
