AWOL camp coming soon

A Work Of Love teen camp coming up soon

LIVING for God; loving like God – that’s the motto!

The teenagers’ camp, A Work Of Love (AWOL) will be hosted between 2 and 5 July.

The annual event, expecting to attract almost 200 youth, is aimed at building relationships and receiving practical and spiritual input that equips youngsters for life.

Also sharing Gods love in the community, the teens will take to the streets of Empangeni, Richards Bay and surrounding areas to tackle various outreach projects which are organised and run by local churches.

‘The mission of AWOL is to enable them to share God’s love in practical ways so that the community will know that Christian teenagers are not just a voice, but are also God’s hands and feet.

‘It is a platform where teenagers from all walks of life can come together, worship God, make friends and have fun whilst learning valuable life lessons with others of their own age,’ said AWOL Events Coordinator Pastor Karl Rottcher.

‘The event is intended to share the gifting and resources of local churches so that teenagers are given the opportunity to receive and make a difference and also use the opportunity of AWOL to spur others on to do the same, is fundamental.

‘We encourage churches to partner with each other in projects or outreaches and in doing so, celebrate their unity in Christ,’ he said.

The cost of the camp is R450 per teen and all camper information and registration forms will be available from the website www.aworkoflove.co.za or call 035 7923404.
