Wednesday weather warning for KZN

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has today (Tuesday) issued a level two weather warning with predictions of severe thunderstorms for KwaZulu-Natal.

The warning is in place from midday until 6pm tomorrow (Wednesday).

According to the weather desk, scattered showers and thundershowers are expected over western parts of KZN, as well as the possibility of hail.

Potential impacts include localised damage to infrastructure, settlements, vehicles, livelihood and livestock, as well as power surges owing to excessive lightning.

Localised injuries and danger to life could also be incurred owing to excessive lightning.
