Roads to be affected by King Cetshwayo July street parade in Empangeni

Street carnival to mark the start of King Cetshwayo July will begin at the Empangeni Civic Centre

The Empangeni CBD will be a hive of activity this (Friday) afternoon owing to a street parade to mark the beginning of the King Cetshwayo July.

While the main horse racing spectacle will take place on Saturday, the street carnival led by district officials will start from the Empangeni Civic Centre at 11am today.

Motorists and commuters travelling in and around the Empangeni CBD are warned to expect delays as traffic flow could likely be affected.

The parade will move along Commercial Street, down through Maxwell and Byrne Street, and proceed through Biyela Street before ending at the Empangeni Airfield.
