Nseleni bridge road closure from Monday
Zululand motorists advised of fresh upcoming N2 road closures
Amid ongoing infrastructure maintenance on the N2 Nseleni River bridge, motorists are again being cautioned about temporary road closures from Monday, 15 July until Wednesday, 17 July.
The South African National Roads Agency (Sanral) has announced that the southbound lane will be closed on Monday and Wednesday between 9am and 3pm, while the northbound lane will be closed on Tuesday between 9am and 3pm.

This closure will allow for the jacking of the bridge deck including bearing refurbishment.
“As part of the deck jacking process, temporary lane closures with stop-and-go control will be implemented,” said Sanral Eastern Region project manager Serisha Sukraj.
Motorists are urged to plan their routes accordingly and allow for extra travel time, especially when accessing travel hubs such as airports.
“We appeal to road users to adhere to the road signs and speed limit when approaching and travelling through the construction site,” said Sukraj.
