There’s a wide variety of sport competitions in a range of disciplines taking place across the globe, with something to captivate every audience.
UEFA EURO 2024

Dates: 14 June to 14 July 2024
Europe’s best footballers are competing for their countries’ pride in the Euros. There are 24 teams that have qualified to play at 10 venues across Germany, all looking to become the European Champions.
Summer Olympics 2024
Sport: Mixed disciplines
Venue: France
Dates: 26 July to 11 August
The 33rd edition of the Summer Olympic Games will include 329 medal events across 32 sports played in legendary locations across Paris, France and Tahiti, the largest island in French Polynesia.
Wimbledon 2024
Sport: Tennis
Venue: England
Dates: 1 to 14 July
The oldest tennis championship will get under way in Wimbledon, London with singles champions looking to take home some £2.7-million (around R62-million) each for the win.
Tour de France 2024
Sport: Cycling
Venue: France
Dates: 29 June to 21 July
The Tour typically comprises 20 professional teams of 9 riders each covering around 3 600km of ground in France, Belgium, Italy, Germany and Spain.
The Open Championship 2024
Sport: Golf
Venue: Scotland
Dates: 14 to 21 July
There will be 156 golfers vying for the championship title in one of the four golf majors. This is the oldest golf major and one of the most coveted titles.
Ireland Summer Tour 2024
Sport: Rugby
Venue: South Africa
Dates: 6 and 13 July
The Springboks won that 2016 series 2-1. The opening test marked Ireland’s first victory over the Springboks on South African soil.
Since then, Ireland has won all three meetings between the teams and five of the last seven – most recently the 13-8 success in France in the pool stages of the Rugby World Cup.
