Bay port container terminal kicks into investment mode

Millions are set to be invested in developing a container handling facility at the Port of Richards Bay.

Plans for the R285-million terminal have kicked into high gear following the recent appointment of Grindrod SA to spearhead the project.

Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) says the facility, expected to become operational in 2027, is a response to ‘historical calls’ from industry for a container terminal in Richards Bay…
