Richards Bay FC to face TS Galaxy this weekend

The Rich Boyz have another chance to get back on track when they host TS Galaxy on Saturday night.

Despite another defeat against Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday, Richards Bay FC have another chance to get back on track when they host TS Galaxy on Saturday night.

The Rich Boyz put in a dismal display going down 3-0 to Chippa United.

Not only did they concede two poorly defended early goals, but they had the punishing pressure of playing almost the whole of the second half with 10 men after Banda received a second yellow card.

Unfortunately, this came during the only period of the game when the Rich Boyz had begun to show some promise.

Towards the close of the first period, they had started looking like a top team for the first time, and when Yanela Mbuthuma and

Thulani Gumede were brought on for the second stanza, a turn of fortune was on the cards.

Alas, with Banda red-carded and a spare man on the park, the Chilli Boys again exerted their dominance and a third goal was directly the result of there being too many holes to plug.

In truth, the home side were man-on-man much sharper throughout the 90 minutes, while NRB hardly tested their keeper.

To make matters worse, bottom club Cape Town Spurs earned another point on the night in a 1-1 draw with Pirates, so there is not only a three-point gap between them and Richards Bay in the fight against automatic relegation.
