Speaking to ZO, Dube said the project is aimed at empowering unemployed rural residents to make money for themselves, while at the same time taking care of the environment.
“This project assists in terms of keeping our environment clean and also helps address the joblessness in this community.
We want to thank the project funders for their contribution,” said Dube.
The project was launched in December, and will run until next month; a total of nine months.
Busangani Nzuza (68) said since the introduction of the project, her life has changed for the better.
“I am now able to buy food and provide for my family as a single mother,” she said.
Angeline Mbatha (58) echoed this sentiment and urged other corporates to come on board and support such projects.
