ATM scams, car remote jamming rife in Richards Bay CBD

Cases are reported daily of unsuspecting community members being scammed

Incidents of fraud, card cloning and theft remain an ongoing challenge for Richards Bay SAPS who urge residents to be more alert when carrying out transactions.

This as cases are reported daily of unsuspecting community members being scammed or becoming the victims of crime at ATMs, when online shopping, or when responding to social media adverts.

In addition, theft out of motor vehicles is also a concern as incidents of remote jamming occur in and around the CBD.
