WATCH: Multi-truck accident, acid spillage cause N2 closure near Pongola

FOR the second time in a week, the N2 between Pongola and Piet Retief is closed owing to a three-truck accident and acid spillage late last night (Tuesday).

The accident occurred at about midnight.

Latest reports indicate that the road will be closed at least until this afternoon as emergency personnel work to clear the scene, tow the trucks and clear the acid spillage.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes for the remainder of today.
