Breakfast drive for Richards Bay homeless shelter
Join in the drive, donate non-perishable items and help feed The Ark community
The Zululand Motorsport Club is hosting a HomeRun Breakfast Drive and Car Show on Saturday, 12 November to raise funds to support The Ark homeless shelter in Richards Bay.
Organiser Gary Vandayar said the aim is to collect enough funds to provide The Ark community with a meal a day from 13 November to January 2023, including a Christmas lunch.
The breakfast run will start at 10am at KNK Curries at the Tuzi Gazi Waterfront, driving to Mtunzini and returning to the ZCBF. The car show-and-shine contest will kick off at midday.
Vandayar said donations of non-perishable food items such as canned foods, rice, mealie meal and oil would be appreciated.
“We call on all community members to bring donations to the drive. We would like to continue supporting this project beyond January if pledges and donations continue,” he said.
